In September 2018, GSMA launched the Mobile Money Regulatory Index, a new interactive regulatory tool that provides a quantitative assessment of the extent to which regulation has been effective in establishing enabling regulatory environments.

It currently offers a unique benchmarking assessment of regulations in almost all countries where mobile money is active. BFA Global is reviewing and updating country spreadsheets for 85 countries and completing new country templates for eight new countries.
